Dream Tibet Travel pleasure to inform you that Nepal-Tibet border has been opened via Kerung from 01st September 2017. The Kodari-Zhangmu border is still close after earthquake in Nepal. Kerung border is now another option for Kathmandu to Lhasa Overland tour. Its lies in Langtang National park and northern side of Kathmandu reach by driving about 145 Km, It will take 07-08 hours. Dream Tibet Travel & Tours start to run Tibet Overland tour with Everest Base Camp, Kailash Overland Tour and Tibet Fixed departure tour from September2017. Tibet Overland group tour is departing every Saturday from 16th September 2017. It is 08 Days Tibet Overland tour from Kathmandu and we will run this tour for throughout the year.
Tibet Overland Tour via Kerung border starts at Kathmandu and scenic drive to Kerung Border follow the Pasang Lhamu Highway that connects to Kerung border. We start our journey early morning from Kathmandu to Syaprubesi- Rasuwa Ghadi, after completing immigration formalities (both Nepal and Tibet) we drive to Kerung for Overnight stay. Kerong is newly opened border so you will get basic accommodation for the first night then we continue to Tingri-Lhatse-Shigatse-Gyantse-Lhasa. After completing Tibet Overland tour, you will fly back to Kathmandu or you also have an option to continue your journey to Mainland China by Train or by flight.
